Video Tools Pixaroma

Join, trim, reverse, loop and fade up to eight video clips from any video model, with their sound, in one node. Crossfades, a dip to black, colour matching where clips meet, ping-pong and seamless loops, and one song under the whole video for a music video.

In ComfyUI: double-click an empty spot on the canvas and type Video Tools Pixaroma.

How to use it

  • Wire the frames of a clip into v1 (from Load Video Pixaroma's video_frames, or a video model's VAE Decode), and its sound into a1 if it has one.
  • More clips go into v2, v3... A new free pair of inputs appears each time you wire one, up to eight clips. They play one after the other, in that order.
  • Wire fps from Load Video, or set fps on the node (the rate your model makes, MiniMax H3 makes 24). The node takes whole numbers: for 23.976 or 29.97, wire fps from Load Video.
  • Set what to do on the node, then wire video_frames, audio and fps into Save Video Pixaroma and Run.
  • Clips straight from Load Video Pixaroma show their length and the timeline before you Run (marked ~). After a Run the node shows each clip, the exact timeline and a still of the result. Play plays a small moving preview right on the node.

Each clip

Cut start
Frames to drop at the start of the clip. A clip made from the last frame of another one often starts on that same frame, which then shows twice at the join: cut 1.
Cut end
Frames to drop at the end.
⟲ Back
Plays the clip backwards. Its sound plays backwards too.

Join

Cut
One clip right after the other.
Crossfade
The end of one clip melts into the start of the next over Length frames. The two overlap, so the video gets that many frames shorter. The sound crossfades too, and keeps its level: two clips that carry the same sound at the same moment (two versions of one video) let a voice run on with no bump.
Through black
Fades to black at the end of one clip and back up at the start of the next. Nothing overlaps.
Match colors
Shifts each clip's colour and brightness so it matches the end of the clip before it. A clip continued from another one often comes out a little darker or warmer, and this hides the jump. How far it goes is set in the gear.

Loop

Repeat
Plays the whole thing again from the start, Times times.
Ping-pong
Forward, then backwards, then forward again (a boomerang). The turn-around frames are not shown twice.
Seamless
Blends the last Blend frames into the first ones, so the video loops with no jump when a player repeats it. It gets that many frames shorter.

Fade

In fades up from black over that many frames at the very start, Out fades down to black at the very end. The sound fades with the picture.

Music

Wire a song (or any sound) into music and it plays under the WHOLE finished video, from its start, cut to the video's length, with the video's fades. A loop does not repeat it. Only music leaves the clips' own sound out (a music video), Music + clip sound keeps both. To start the song later, trim it in Load Audio Pixaroma. The Music row shows only while a song is wired. Drop the song's wire on the music dot itself: a sound wire dropped anywhere else on the node goes to the first clip that has no sound yet.

The timeline

Each clip has its own colour (the numbers on the left use the same colours). A crossfade shows as one colour melting into the next, a dip to black as a dark shade, a loop as the same blocks repeated, and fades as dark ends. It follows your settings as you change them, and it knows how long each clip is after one Run (or before it, from Load Video's file).

Settings (the gear)

Clips of another size
Every clip takes the size of the first one. Fill crops the edges, Fit adds black bars, Stretch pulls it to size.
Match colors: strength
From 0 to 100. 100 matches fully.
Preview on the node
Moving keeps a small moving preview after each Run. Off skips it.
Button colour
The accent colour of this node.

Tips

  • The sound always stays in step with the picture: every cut, join, loop and fade is done on the sound at the same moments.
  • Clips should share one frame rate. A clip made at another rate plays faster or slower here.
  • Long clips use a lot of memory: the finished video is made in one piece. Join long videos in a video editor.
  • More than eight clips? Wire this node's video_frames and audio into v1 and a1 of a second Video Tools.
  • Bypassed (Ctrl+B), the node passes clip 1's frames and sound straight through, or the song instead of the sound if one is wired.

What you wire in

fpsFLOAToptional
Optional. The frames per second of the clips: wire fps from Load Video Pixaroma. Not wired, the fps set on the node is used (MiniMax H3 makes 24).
musicAUDIOoptional
Optional. One song (or any sound) under the WHOLE finished video, from its start, cut to the video's length, with the fades. On the node: the song alone, or with the clips' own sound. Trim where the song starts with Load Audio Pixaroma.
video_1IMAGEoptional
Clip 1: the frames of a video (IMAGE), for example video_frames from Load Video Pixaroma or the frames out of a video model's VAE Decode.
audio_1AUDIOoptional
Optional. The sound of clip 1 (AUDIO). Clips without sound are silent while they play.
video_2IMAGEoptional
Clip 2: the frames of a video (IMAGE), for example video_frames from Load Video Pixaroma or the frames out of a video model's VAE Decode.
audio_2AUDIOoptional
Optional. The sound of clip 2 (AUDIO). Clips without sound are silent while they play.

frame_countINT
How many frames the finished video has.
fpsFLOAT
The frames per second, the same as the fps input. Wire it into Save Video's fps.
durationFLOAT
How long the finished video is, in seconds.
