Find and Replace Pixaroma

Sits in a text wire and rewrites the text flowing through it, before it reaches whatever uses the prompt.

In ComfyUI: double-click an empty spot on the canvas and type Find and Replace Pixaroma.

What it does

Drop this node between a text source (an LLM node, Show Text, Text Pixaroma, any STRING output) and the node that uses the text. It applies your find/replace rules top to bottom and passes the edited result on. The before/after box on the node previews the last text that ran through.

How to use

  • Add one rule per edit: type what to find, and what to replace it with.
  • Leave the replace side empty to DELETE the found text.
  • Toggle a rule OFF to skip it without deleting it.
  • Drag the ⋮⋮ handle to reorder. Rules apply top to bottom, each one seeing the previous rule's result.

The four toggles

Aa Case
Match upper/lowercase exactly. Off = ignore case (the default).
Whole word
Only match whole words, so art does not hit artist.
.* Regex
Treat Find as a search pattern (see below) instead of literal text.
✨ Tidy
After the edits, collapse double spaces and fix stray or doubled commas.

Regex: the search-pattern mode

With Regex OFF, Find is literal: cat matches the exact letters. With Regex ON, Find becomes a pattern where some characters mean "any digit", "one or more", "either/or", and so on, so you can match things you can't type out literally.

Regex symbols worth knowing

.
any single character
\d
any digit (0-9)
\w
any letter, number or underscore
\s
any space
+
one or more of the thing before it
*
zero or more
?

( )
a group you can reuse in Replace as \1, \2 …
\.
a real dot (the backslash turns off a symbol's special meaning)

Regex examples

What you wire in

textSTRING
The text to edit. Wire a STRING output (an LLM node, Show Text Pixaroma, Text Pixaroma, etc.) into this input. The node edits it on the way through.

What comes out

textSTRING
The text after all your find/replace rules (and Tidy) are applied.
Backreferences use \1, \2 (Python style), not $1. The node always runs the real Python regex, even for advanced patterns the on-node preview can't show perfectly.

This is the help that comes with Pixaroma 1.4.212. Inside ComfyUI, select the node and click the orange ? above it to read the same help there.
